Hello Enchanting Ones
Ever since the age of four I have loved horses, from the moment I first saw one to me reading Black Beauty over and over again. To me they are breathtaking, the pinnacle of beauty, their heads so delicate, those gorgeous eyes looking back at you with pure kindness and love, their flowing gaits. There is nothing more mesmerising than watching one run freely with their manes and tails flowing in the wind. An animal so big, so powerful, so intelligent but with a heart of gold.
Some of my most favourite times with horses has simply been just hanging out with them, whether it’s in their stall or out in the fields. They teach you so much more, they show you individual personalities each horse with its own likes, dislikes , their little quirks that make you laugh. I have always been one to say if you cannot connect on the ground and appreciate their natural beauty you cannot connect in the saddle. It starts from the ground up.
Horses are magical because they connect us with so much more than just the saddle, they connect me even more with nature and make me appreciate the time spent outside enjoying the fresh air, they are music it should be a natural rhythm, a dance between people and horses and some people are just born with music in their soul.
The books, the poems, the songs they have all inspired and given people the opportunity to write, to create and been such an influence on our lives. They have the power to heal us from equine assisted therapy to healing scared hearts and trauma. They have a way of picking up on our emotions and our energy and love heals everything and these magical animals are full of love. The horse can heal wounded trust and we all remember that connection, that bond, that relationship with that first horse, whether its with your own horse or your favourite horse at the stable you ride at both are equally magical and equally special.
So appreciate every magical element a horse brings to you, it goes so much further than “Just being in the saddle” they are enchanting, magical a real life fairytale.
